Thanks to the Plunderer and Tithe properties, the owner of the weapon receives a lot more Gold after the end of each battle, making it usable in tower attacks and campaigns. It will not boost chest gold but will boost the mission reward itself, making it incredibly powerful for levels with high gold reward (such as Uber Stages and Rare or better Find Loot missions for 7-star heroes). It will take a while to pay off but is good to craft early since gold will become very limited.
In terms of practical use, it has higher attack than The Unmaker, and the lightning damage is less commonly resisted by most heroes. The higher crit chance and lightning damage makes it arguably better than The Unmaker when defending your tower, since popular tower attackers (Cleric, Necromancer, Ninja, Warlock, etc.) don't have base lightning resistance. When attacking towers, The Unmaker has a higher damage output, although it makes a decent trade-off, since tower attacks are a good source of gold for the bonuses of the Hammer of the Gods. It also has the highest crit chance bonus in this weapon class, which only sweetens the deal.
Like the Unmaker though, Berserker's Raging Shout does not factor in the elemental damage. Also, Valkyrie's Wrath of Fire counter will activate due to the lightning damage, so watch out.
